Vandalia Range and Armory: Closing

Vandalia Range and Armory will be closed on Saturday July 3rd, and Sunday July 4th for the holiday season. We hope this does not inconvenience anyone. If you happened to pickup a class schedule for July prior to this newsletter you will have noticed that there was a First Steps and S.T.A.C class scheduled for the 3rd. These classes have been cancelled, and re-scheduled for the 17th of July. WE believe this will be easier for both parties considering it is a holiday weekend. We hope everyone has a great 4th of July.

Just a quick reminder to everyone in case it has been awhile since you’ve visited us, but the rifle range is open, and has been since February. There have been a few extra guidelines that have been implemented to make your experience here at VRA safer, and better. Be sure to read these guidelines on our website at www.vra-ohio.com. Just click the “Ranges” tab, and then select the rifle range to view this material.

 

We want to thank everyone thus far who has behaved accordingly to the guidelines we have set place. There haven’t been any negative situations, and we appreciate everyone’s cooperation. Vandalia Range and Armory: Online Catalog, Forum, and Facebook

You can now buy products online from Vandalia Range and Armory! You can access our online catalog by going to our website www.vra-ohio.com and clicking the shop online tab at the top. You can also go straight to this page by typing www.shopvra-ohio.com.  We can now offer a variety of products that we do not have in our store, and that can be shipped directly to your home! Our online catalog can be a convenient way to shop, or help you find the exact product you are looking for.

All firearms and ammunition must be picked up at Vandalia Range and Armory or shipped to an FFL dealer in your state. If you choose to pick the firearm or ammunition up at Vandalia Range and Armory we will waive your shipping cost. If you are buying a firearm or ammunition online and having it shipped we will contact you directly once we have received your order. We will then collect the information needed in order to ship the firearm or ammunition to an FFL dealer in your location.

Please note that due to ever changing prices, our website may not reflect our exact in-store price. In many cases our in-store price is cheaper. If you are an Ohio resident, and are able to pick the product up in our store please call and check the pricing before purchasing online. If you choose to order the product online the price will be as listed.

We want to provide the opportunity for those of you who are stressed on time, enjoy shopping online, or just want to look around at the available products. The online catalog allows us to provide you with products that we do not stock in our store. We hope that this will be convenient, and useful to everyone. Please note that not all our products online are available in our store.

Vandalia Range and Armory: Products

Be sure to look at the new safes we have brought in by Pendleton Safes. These safes are very impressive as they are lighted inside the safe, and they allow the user to rotate the guns inside the safe (either manually, or electronically). This makes it very easy to see what firearm you are looking for, as well as allowing you to easily access that firearm.

In most safes this is a very inconvenient task considering you can’t see what you are looking for, and you have to remove many firearms to reach the one you want. Pendleton safes come with a $50,000 fire protection plan! There are many shapes, sizes, and colors available to fit everyone’s needs. Be sure to view them in our store, or online at www.pendletonsafes.com.

The FNH Scar 5.56 rifles are in stock in either tan or black. This AR style rifle has been very popular and sought after since it came out.  It is chambered in 5.56, and is setting a new standard in the AR market. Visit www.fnhusa.com to see this fine rifle.

FNH has also come out with the FNX pistols in 9mm and 40SW. These handguns are the new and improved models of their popular FNP series. These firearms are slimmed down, and completely ambidextrous. They have replaceable back straps, and come with three magazines.

Springfield Armory now has a compact model for its new XDM series. The barrel on this firearm is 3.8 inches, opposed to 4.5 inches on the full size XDM. The handle and magazine capacity remain the same, but the shorter barrel makes it more convenient for concealed carry. (www.springfieldarmory.com).

Springfield Armory has also begun producing an XDM model in .45 ACP. We have received one for our rental section for everyone to try. We’ve yet to receive one to sell, but they are expected to be out this month so keep a close eye out on this firearm.

We have brought in a number of new Nighthawk 1911 firearms for those of you who only want the highest of quality. We have a Predator II in stainless steel, a T3 in stainless steel and blued, and we have a Heine 6” blued. We also have other .45 ACP models as well as a few 9mm models in stock. Nighthawk is a custom firearms dealer, and their products have proven to be of the highest quality. Be sure to look at their website at www.nighthawkcustom.com.

Chiappa firearms are producing a 1911 model handgun chambered in .22 long rifle that is great for the avid “plinker” or target shooter. These firearms are manufactured right here in Dayton, Ohio! We also have one of these in our rental so that you can try it out before you decide to buy it. You can view this gun online at www.chiappafirearms.com.
